In 2025, Sally Medford earned Second Place in 2-D Media at the Brady-Kendall Juried Art Exhibit, hosted by the Columbus County Arts Council, for her piece titled “The Underpass.” This annual exhibit honors the legacy of artists who helped shape the visual arts community in Columbus County, making the recognition especially meaningful. With “The Underpass,” Medford’s work stood out among a wide range of talented submissions, and her second-place finish reflects the strength of her artistic vision and the impact her piece had on the jurors.

Pulled out one of my grandfather’s sketches to find inspiration for a seascape. Adding color to something that is only line is definitely a challenge.

Great day to enjoy the outdoors! Spent the day at Garden #1, Bill and Michelle Gore’s backyard.

Finally went back to the large canvas that I started a year ago as a lake scene and then hit a wall.
